Oil & Natural Gas

Tulsa remains well positioned as a global leader in oil and natural gas exploration/production.  Many energy companies call Tulsa home because of the Tulsa's extraordinary oil and gas sector workforce. Tulsa boasts more than 20,000 workers in E&P, working for hundreds of companies – from small “mom and pop” independents to medium and large publicly-traded companies – or as sole proprietors and consultants in energy specialty fields such as engineering, geology or law.

One of the most unique things about Tulsa's energy industry is its remarkable diversification among the various segments of the sector. Tulsa companies range from E&P to utility, pipeline, energy services, energy supply, and energy-related manufacturing companies to alternative energy and companies focused on sustainability and energy efficiency.  Tulsa is home to both traditional and renewable energy and boasts cutting-edge research and development.
